Breakfast Burger

 

Sweet dreams are made of cheese, bacon, beef, and sausage!

So treat dad to the breakfast of his dreams with a juicy breakfast burger. Topped with a fried egg, this recipe will get even the sleepiest heads out of bed.

You’ll Need:

SAUCE

  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 3 tbsp. ketchup

  • Salt

  • Cracked black pepper

BURGERS

  • 1 lb. 80% lean ground beef

  • 1/2 lb. spicy Italian sausage, no casings 

  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

  • Salt

  • Cracked black pepper

  • 2 tbsp. canola oil, divided

  • 4 slices sharp cheddar

  • 4 Wonder® Classic Hamburger Buns

  • 8 slices cooked bacon, cut in half

  • 4 fried eggs

Follow these steps:

  1. In a small bowl, make your sauce. Whisk together mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate until you’re ready to assemble the burgers.

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside. 

  3. Burger time! Combine beef, sausage, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper. 

  4. Here’s the fun part! Using your hands, mix it all and shape it into patties. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  5. In a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Cook three patties at a time to your desired doneness. 

  6. Top your patties with a slice of cheese during the last minute of cooking. After, transfer the burgers to your plate.

  7. Assembly time! Place bacon on the bottom of  your Wonder® Classic Hamburger Bun, and then place the cheeseburger on top. Next, top with a fried egg and the sauce.
