Makes 12 pigs in blankets
12 link pork sausages
6 slices Wonder® bread
Melted butter, for brushing
Maple syrup or warmed tomato sauce, for serving
Fresh fruit, for serving (optional)
Preheat the oven to 425F.
Heat a skillet, and fry the sausages over medium heat until the sausages are browned and no longer pink inside; drain. Cut each slice of bread in half vertically and wrap around the sausages. Secure with toothpicks. Place in a baking dish. Brush the Wonder bread blankets lightly with melted butter.
Bake for about 10 minutes to brown.
Serve hot with maple syrup or warm tomato sauce and fresh fruit, if desired.
