Makes 12 servings
6 slices Wonder® bread
1 cup fully cooked diced ham
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
6 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup fat-free half and half or milk
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Spray a 9 x 13-inch pan with nonstick spray coating.
Tear bread into small pieces and place evenly on bottom of baking dish. Top with ham and cheese.
Whisk eggs until blended. Whisk in remaining ingredients. Pour egg-milk mixture evenly over bread, ham and cheese in baking dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 350F. Bake, uncovered, for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden and knife inserted just off center comes out clean.
Tip: Milk can be substituted for fat-free half and half. Bacon could be substituted for the ham.
If desired, sprinkle 1/4 cup chopped green onion over ham and proceed with recipe as directed.
